Prognosis
In 2008, the prognosis of someone living with Cystic Fibrosis was approximately 38 years. This is a vast improvement from fifty years ago when children born with CF lived to be six months old (on average). The increased life expectancy can be attributed to early diagnosis, better access to health care, and prescription drugs/treatment options.
